April 2022 Gigs – Reviews & Photos

13thDave Moorwood’s Rascals of Rhythm

REVIEWS:
Julia Hubery & Mark Willis: ”Well worth the wait – we felt pampered by the quality of what we heard tonight – favourites, the properly mournful Big House , the lush Bernie Carter medley that I just wanted to inhale, Blue Waterloo and Aunt Tilley.  Fantastic individuality and togetherness – sounded like a big band sometimes.  Thank you.”
John, Jill & Richard: “Very good selection of tunes which showed the quality of the musicians.”
Jill Bater & Ed Couzens: “Good for Dave.  Hope to see them again soon.”
John Rothery: “Very enjoyable.  I liked the selection of unfamiliar tunes, especially the Bennie Carter medley.  The amplification of Dave’s guitar and vocals seemed tinny.”
Juliette & Malcolm: “Six excellent musicians playing some very unusual tunes which demonstrated their skills.  An excellent range of tempi too.  A great evening of generally gentle jazz.”
Anon: “So enjoyable!  Loved the blues.  Accomplished musicians.  Very mellow.”
